The 142 bed voco Zeal Hotel Exeter Science Park commenced construction in July 2023. Opening Q4 2024

Key ‘voco Zeal’ hotel criteria

 ·       Lifecycle net zero carbon construction & operation

·       100% electric & the voco Zeal hotel co-brand generates more electricity than it uses

·       Energy Use Intensity is < 55 kWh/m2/yr (2044 CRREM target)

·       Net zero carbon (in operation) < 10 kWh/m2/yr

·       Lifecycle Embodied Carbon is < 750 kg CO2/m2 (2030 LETI target)

Site Requirements

·       2+ acres, with or without planning permission (including car park)

·       Smaller sites considered if car parking is available nearby

·       +/- 150 bedrooms

·       New build

·       Business/science/leisure/retail parks, sports stadiums, mixed-use & net zero carbon schemes

·       Close to main arterial transport routes

·       Easy access & good visibility
