Site Progress

Midas Construction Ltd have continued well with progress on site and are currently on programme for their works.

In the last few weeks, we have completed the concrete and steel tube piling on site. This has allowed for our groundworkers to progress with cutting and cropping of the piles. Once cropped, the groundworkers can excavate around the piles to create pile caps and foundation trenches.

We have steel fixers here on site forming steel reinforcement cages for pile caps and ground beams and also completing formwork for the concrete pours.

Our first foundation concrete pour was completed last week with another 2 pours scheduled for the coming weeks.

For the month of May further trades will be starting to attend site, namely a steel frame erecting company. Additionally, our site hoarding will be erected in the first week of May.

This month we aim to have our temporary supplies to our cabin accommodation completed. The below plan shows two road crossings which are needed to supply our site. The red line shows where Western Power will be comple ng a small trench for cabling to our site. Western Power are currently planned to complete this work between the 10th & 11th May. The blue line shows where Wessex Water will be digging a small trench to complete site water supplies but we are s ll awaiting a date for this. We will liaise with those neighbours who are directly impacted by these trench works .The black ring shows where our groundworkers will be removing the kerbs to create an exit route for our deliveries. This is to avoid reversing and manoeuvring outside of our site entrance and reduce risk to the public.
